  1. Cast on 36 stitches.
  2. Knit 6 rows.
  3. K5, purl till there are 5 stitches left, K5.
  4. Knit 1 row.
  5. Repeat numbers 3 and 4.
  6. K5, P5, K6, P4, K6, P5, K5.
  7. Knit 1 row.
  8. Repeat numbers 6 and 7 two times.

Gauge: in knit 1, purl 1 ribbing, 16 stitches and 17 rows = 4″ by 4″
Note: numbers 7,8,11 and 15 in the hat pattern use this mark *. Repeat the instructions within the marks.

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Loin Brand Homespun, barley – 185 yds (98% acrylic) (2% polyester)
  • size 10.5  knitting needles
  • yarn needle

-Pattern-

  1. Cast on 60 stitches.
  2. Knit 1, purl 1, to end. (Note: do not join in round. Knit as you do with straight needles)
  3. Repeat number 2 four times. (total of 5 ribbing rows)
  4. Decrease (k2tog), knit to end.
  5. Purl 1 row.
  6. knit 1 row.
  7. Purl 1 row.
  8. Repeat number 6 and 7 till piece measure 5 1/2″.
  9. Knit 1, decrease, *knit 3, decrease* to end. (ending in knit 3)
  10. Purl 1, decrease, * Purl 2, decrease,* repeat to end. (ending in purl 2)
  11. Knit 1 row.
  12. Purl 1 row.

Note: if desired, instead of knitting with the beads, you can sew the beads on after you have knitted the bracelet.

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver, brown – 364 yds (100% acrylic) (or leftover worsted weight yarn)
  • size 9 knitting needles
  • 3 alphabet beads
  • 6 black pony beads
  • clasp

Bracelet

    1. String on the yarn, 3 pony beads, 3 alphabet beads, and 3 more pony beads.
    2. Cast on 30 stitches.
    3. Knit 4 rows.
    4. K 4, bring down a bead, k 3, bright down a bead, k 3, bring down  a bead, k 2, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k  3, bring down a bead, k 2, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k4.
    5. Knit 4 rows.
    6. Bind off.
    7. Weave in ends.
    8. Sew clasps onto both sides.

  • (A) Caron Natura, lace – (100% acrylic)
  • (B) Red Heart Super Saver, forest green – (100% acrylic)
  • (C) Caron Simply Soft, dark country blue – (100% acrylic)
  • (D) Caron Simply Soft, raspberry – (100% acrylic)
  • (E) Red Heart Super Saver, frosted green – (100% acrylic)
  • (F) Caron Simply Soft, Light pink – (100% acrylic)
  • (G) Red Heart Super Saver, raspberry – 100% acrylic)
  • (H) Simply Soft, soft yellow – (100% acrylic)
  • (I) Red Heart Super Saver, light blue – (100% acrylic)

  1. With (A) cast on 21 stitches.
  2. Purl 3, *knit 3, purl 3*, repeat within *-* to end.

  4. Repeat till piece measures 5″.
  5. Change color to (B).
  6. Knit 3, *purl 3, knit 3*, repeat within *-* to end.
  7. Purl 3, *knit 3, purl 3*, repeat within *-* to end.
  8. Repeat numbers 6 and 7 till color measures 5″.
  9. Repeat numbers 6 – 8 with each color of yarn from (C) to (J). (changing colors every 5″)
  10. Bind off in knit stitch.

Break out your stash of almost used up skeins of yarn and knit one of these easy bracelets. Don’t worry about the gauge, just start knitting!

Gauge: in stockinette, 20 stitches and 16 rows = 4″ by 4″

-Materials-

  • about 19 feet of yarn ( I used James C. Brett, Marble)
  • size 9 knitting needles
  • yarn needle

Bracelet

  1. Cast on 5 stitches.
  2. Knit 1 row.
  3. Purl 1 row.
  4. Repeat till piece measures 8 1/2″.
  5. Bind off in knit stitch.
  6. Sew the cast on and the binds off edges together.
  7. Weave in ends.

Stitches Used: cast on, knit, purl, and bind off
Measures: 4″ by 4″
Gauge: With 1 strand of each yarn, in stockinette stitch, 9 stitches and 12 rows = 4″ by 4″

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Patons Rumor, jewel tone- 84 yds (84% acrylic) (15% Alpaca) (1% Polyester)
  • 1 skein Bernat Disco, black- 52 yds (67% acetate) (33% polyester)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 inch diameter hot pink button
  • Size 11 knitting needles
  • Blunt end yarn needle

Pattern

  1. With one strand of both yarns cast on 9 stitches.
  2. Knit 1 row.
  3. Purl 1 row.
  4. Repeat numbers 2 and 3 till piece measures 8″.
  5. Bind off in knit. Weave in ends.
  6. Fold the purse in half. Sew up the sides.
  7. Cut a 15″ strand out of Rumor yarn.
  8. Pull the yarn through 2 of the holes on the button.
  9. Weave both ends through the purse. Knot the end together on the other side
  10. Make another draw string like you did the first time, except on the other side. Trim ends.
